• First, it's a good idea to get Pre-Approved with a lender before you begin your home search. It's good to know just how much home you can afford before you get started. There are several local mortgage lenders our clients have worked with that would be happy to help you with this process.
• Get your finances in order as soon as possible. Be aware of your current credit situation. You can get a free copy of your credit score at serveral web sites. Just use your favorite search engine.
• This is also a good time to review your budget. You want to make sure that you are comfortible with any added expenses that may go with buying your new home, such as association fees and homeowners insurance. Your mortgage representative will be able to help you out with these items.
• Once you select your neighborhood and the location of your new home, you will spend time with one of our sales representives to complete your initial paperwork. Depending on what stage of construction your new home is in, you will need to select the flooring for your home, order any optional and/or upgraded items that may be available to make your home reflect your style. That is one of the big advantages of buying a bew home; it's a blank canvas just waiting for your touch!
• As the completion of your home nears, make sure your lender has everything they need from you for final loan approval.
• Before your final closing, our sales representative will contact you to arrange for home inspection.  Another advantage of a new home is that most builders will provide you with a one year warranty for any problem you should encounter after you move in. • Compare and secure homeowners insurance. Make sure you get insured for not only the structure of your home, but also for the irreplaceable contents inside.
• Make moving plans. If you plan to use a moving company, make comparisons and reserve time now.
• Final closing and settlement. Our sales representative will assist you with making an appointment to sign your final documents that transfer the home over to you.
• Move to your new home!
